Note added on Jan 22, 2025: I have recently been made aware of a coalition called Voices Ignited and/or Voices United forming and recruiting using these servers. I do not endorse their efforts and do not recommend engaging with them. Please seek out members of your local community who have expertise in the needs of your community. 

• Focus on Local Efforts: Seek out individuals or organizations already engaged in community work. Established efforts often need support and energy to scale their impact.
• Exercise Caution: Avoid distractions like misinformation, conspiracies, or attempts to form new coalitions without a clear understanding of existing dynamics.
• Be an Active Listener: Spend time observing conversations and learning from experienced community members before stepping into a leadership or organizing role.
• Seek Expertise in the Community: Seek out members of the community who have expertise in policy, media, communication, law, and organization efforts. Empower people with those skills to use them. This is especially important as we see a rise in government officials lacking credibility or expertise. 
• Contribute Where Needed: Once you’ve identified trusted local efforts, offer your skills, time, or resources to strengthen their work.

Use these servers as a tool to connect and build relationships while staying mindful of how your efforts fit into the broader community landscape.
